University of Jos Emerges Overall Winner at 14th NUSSA Games

The 14th Nigeria University Sports Association (NUSSA) Games, hosted by Bayero University Kano, has come to a close. The University of Jos emerged as the overall winner, claiming 13 medals, including 7 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze.

Ahmadu Bello University Zaria secured second place with 6 gold medals, while Federal University, Dutsin-Ma, took third place.

In a thrilling football final, Federal University Taura (FUT Daura) claimed the gold medal after a 1-1 draw led to a 3-1 penalty shootout victory over Federal University Dutsin-Ma.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services) of Bayero University Kano, Professor Aliyu Mu'azu, represented the Vice-Chancellor at the closing ceremony. He congratulated all participants and thanked their institutions for supporting staff participation in sports. He also acknowledged the efforts of key organizers for their professionalism in managing the tournament.
