University of Lagos (UNILAG) has issued a disclaimer concerning a social media advertisement promoting “free online courses” purportedly offered by the institution. In an official statement, UNILAG management clarified that the university is not associated with any such sponsored ads, urging the public and the university community to disregard them.

According to the statement, the university emphasized that any legitimate online programs or free courses will be announced solely through its official website, www.unilag.edu.ng, and on its verified social media platforms under the handle @UnilagNigeria.
