Yobe State Governor to Honor Youths in Science, Research, and Innovation

 The Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, will present awards to outstanding youths in science, research, and innovation at the 2024 Summer School Workshops in August.

The awards, announced by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Science, Research, and Innovation, Dr. Mahmoud Bukar Maina, recognize exceptional innovations and research papers submitted by youths from across the state.

Winners were selected based on criteria such as local relevance, functionality, and business case strength. The first-place winner in Brilliant Innovations is Mohammed Auwal from Bursari Local Government Area, followed by Muhammad Mustapha and Adamu Aliyu.

In the Top Research Paper Award category, Idi Mohammed from Yobe State University took first place, followed by Mohammed Bukar Maina, and Harisu Abdullahi Shehu received an honorary award for his outstanding research contributions.

The award winners will receive cash prizes from the Governor, and the event aims to promote science, research, and innovation among youths in Yobe State.
