Yobe State University Approves Opening of Gate One for Campus Commuters
In a move to improve campus mobility, the Management of Yobe State University (YSU) has officially approved the opening of Gate One for daily use by both staff and students.
The directive, issued in a memorandum from the Office of the Registrar dated April 15, 2026, aims to streamline transit across the university’s expansive grounds.Expected to significantly reduce commuting time for students heading to lecture areas and provide more direct access for staff residing within the University quarters.
The decision was signed by the Principal Assistant Registrar, Ibrahim Liman, on behalf of the Registrar, Isa Audu Dallari. The university management noted that this measure is a direct response to the need for eased transportation logistics on campus, ensuring a more seamless flow of movement for the academic community during peak hours.
Campus security personnel have been notified to facilitate the new arrangement, and students are encouraged to utilize the gate responsibly within the stipulated timeframe.
