Yusuf Maitama Sule University Releases Adjusted Academic Calendar for 2023/2024 Session

The Directorate of Academic Planning at Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano has announced an adjusted academic calendar for the 2023/2024 session.

According to the revised calendar, the first semester will commence on February 12, 2024, with registration for fresh students, followed by registration for returning students on February 17, 2024. Lectures will begin on February 26, 2024, and will run for six weeks.

The mid-semester break will take place from April 8 to April 13, 2024, followed by a week of revision and examinations from April 15 to May 25, 2024.

The second semester will commence on September 16, 2024, with lectures running for six weeks. The mid-semester break will take place from October 28 to November 2, 2024, followed by a week of revision and examinations from November 4 to December 14, 2024.

The academic calendar also includes dates for orientation, add/drop, and examination board meetings.

The university has also announced that there will be no examinations during public holidays.
