FULafia VC Prof. Abdul Rahman Hails Nasarawa State Governor As He Shares Rice and Cash

The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, has saluted the Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, for his keen interest in the development of the University. 

“I cannot thank the governor enough in view of the great things he has done for us in this University,” Abdul Rahman said.

The venue was the Federal University of Lafia and the occasion was the distribution of rice and N5,000 each to eight thousand students in the University by Government of Nasarawa State.

Abdul Rahman listed, among many interventions of the state government in University, to include building of a female hostel, road, assistance during the recently held convocation in the University and, “now, the distribution of rice and cash to our students in an initiative that will go a long way to cushion the effects of the economic hardship faced by the students.”

In his speech, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule of Nasarawa State said that his administration was not unmindful of the dire economic situation of the students, saying that necessitated the distribution of the items to them.

He said that the distribution of rice and cash to the students would be done in all the tertiary schools in the state, calling on other well-to-do individuals in the state to do the same.

The governor praised the vice-chancellor, members of his management team and students for the organisation witnessed during the occasion.
