Oyewale Abdulsobur, a 400-level Computer Science student at the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), has garnered significant recognition by clinching the third position in the national competition organized by Huawei Technologies Co. Nigeria Limited in December 2023. His remarkable achievement has secured him a coveted spot in the upcoming regional finals, alongside two students from Nasarawa State University and the University of Benin.

A letter addressed to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, and signed by Mars Zhangmi, the Director of Service Delivery EBG at Huawei Technologies Co. Nigeria Ltd, officially announced Oyewale's triumph in the national finals. Expressing pride in Oyewale's success, the letter solicited FUTA's support in releasing him for the regional final, where he will represent both the university and Nigeria.

In response to the announcement, Vice-Chancellor Professor Oladiji commended Oyewale, hailing him as a worthy ambassador of FUTA. She lauded his demonstration of excellence and wished him success in the upcoming stage of the competition.
