AAUA Celebrates 12th Convocation Ceremony with 5,249 Graduates, 42 First-Class Honors

AAUA Celebrates 12th Convocation Ceremony with 5,249 Graduates, 42 First-Class Honors

Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA), Ondo State, is set to award degrees and diplomas to approximately 5,249 students at its 12th convocation ceremony scheduled for December 8, 2023. Prof. Olugbenga Lge, the Vice-Chancellor, revealed that among the graduating class, 42 students attained first-class honors, while 1,088 secured second-class upper division, 2,264 received second-class lower division, and 605 obtained third-class honors.

Various events are scheduled for the convocation week, including an exhibition, a convocation play titled "Malokun" by The Ajasin Varsity Theatre, a friendly match and games, and a convocation lecture by Mr. Martins Oloja, Editor-in-Chief and Managing Director of The Guardian Newspapers, Lagos. The conferment of degrees, postgraduate diplomas, and higher degrees, along with the presentation of prizes, will take place on December 8th and 9th, 2023. The grand finale, an interdenominational Christian service, is set for December 10, bringing the week-long celebration to a close on the university campus.

Prof. Lge expressed gratitude to the university's alumni association and emphasized AAUA's commitment to supporting students through the dedicated Students' Support Centre. He also acknowledged the achievements of academic staff and the university as a whole, reinforcing the quality of AAUA's academic programs.
