ABU Students Selected for Huawei Intensive Boot Camp and African Regional Finals

Eleven undergraduate students from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, have been selected to participate in a three-week intensive boot camp at the Huawei Office in Abuja.

The boot camp, scheduled to take place from February 5 to 28, 2025, is part of the Huawei Advanced ICT Academy Support Centre (ABU-HIA/iASC) program.

 

The students, who qualified to represent Nigeria at the African regional finals, will compete in the Network, Cloud, and Computing tracks. They are:

The Vice-Chancellor of ABU, Prof. Kabiru Bala, commended the students and the Team Lead, Prof. MB Muazu, for representing the university well. Prof. Bala granted the students formal permission to participate in the boot camp and regional finals, and also waived their school and accommodation fees for the 2024/2025 academic session.

 

The students are advised to be good ambassadors of the university and to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the university's values.
