Achievers University Honours FUTA’s Dr. Boye Owele for Outstanding Service During Sabbatical

Achievers University, Owo, has formally recognized Dr. Boye Owele, Deputy Chief Guidance Counselor at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), for her exceptional contributions during her sabbatical appointment, which concluded in September 2025.

In a letter of appreciation signed by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Omolola Irinoye, the University commended Dr. Owele’s professionalism, dedication, and impactful work in counseling and mentorship. Her efforts, according to the Vice-Chancellor, significantly enriched students’ personal and academic growth while strengthening the University’s guidance and counseling unit.

Prof. Irinoye praised Dr. Owele’s selflessness, noting that her commitment left a lasting legacy within the institution. The University also appreciated her donation of materials aimed at enhancing counseling services, describing it as a gesture that will benefit both staff and students for years to come.

“Your selfless service significantly strengthened the guidance and counseling unit of our University,” the letter stated, emphasizing the exemplary nature of her sabbatical contributions.

As part of her farewell, Dr. Owele presented counseling banners to the management of Achievers University to further support its guidance programs.

Meanwhile, FUTA’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, expressed immense pride in Dr. Owele’s recognition, describing it as a reflection of FUTA’s culture of excellence. She lauded Dr. Owele’s achievement as both an inspiration to colleagues and a catalyst for stronger inter-university collaboration.
