ACUSA Executives Donate First Aid Boxes to ACU Health Services

The outgoing 2025/2026 Executive members of the Ajayi Crowther University Students' Assembly, ACUSA, led by Comrade Emmanuel Bello, have donated ten fully stocked first aid boxes to the university's health services.
The presentation, which took place on Wednesday, 26 August 2026 at the Vice-Chancellor's office, marked a gesture of appreciation from the student leaders as they rounded off their tenure.
Receiving the donation, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ebunoluwa Oduwole, commended the ACUSA executives for their maturity and responsible leadership throughout their time in office. She encouraged them to uphold the values of integrity and service, and urged them to carry forward the leadership lessons gained at ACU into their future endeavours.
Speaking on the motivation behind the donation, the Dean of Students' Affairs, Dr. Cornelius Ojo, explained that the gesture was borne out of the executives' desire to show appreciation to the university and to support the Vice-Chancellor's ongoing transformation drive.
"Comrade Emmanuel Bello and his team felt it was important to leave a lasting legacy that aligns with the Vice-Chancellor's vision for a better ACU. They are fully in support of the developmental strides taking place across the university, and this donation is one of the ways they have chosen to demonstrate that support," Dr. Ojo said.
Providing further details on the contents of the donated items, the Director of Health Services, Dr. Olumuyiwa Omotesho, revealed that each first aid box is well-equipped to handle basic medical emergencies. According to him, each box contains a pack of Paracetamol tablets, Vitamin C tablets, Oral Rehydration Solution, ORS, pain relief ointment, gauze bandage, a pair of scissors, a pack of cotton wool, a bottle of spirit, and antacid tablets.
Dr. Omotesho expressed gratitude to the Students' Assembly for the thoughtful contribution, noting that the items would go a long way in enhancing the university's capacity to provide prompt first-response care to students and staff alike.
The handing-over ceremony, which was attended by members of the student body, ended with the outgoing ACUSA executives expressing appreciation for the opportunity to serve and their commitment to remaining ambassadors of the institution.
