Adamawa State Polytechnic Students Block School Gates Over Prolonged Power and Water Outages

Students of Adamawa State Polytechnic in Yola have taken to the streets, blocking all school gates to protest a week-long blackout and water shortage.

This marks the third protest in just two months, highlighting growing tensions on campus over neglected basic needs. The students are demanding immediate action from the school's leadership and state authorities to restore power and water supply.

The lack of electricity and water has severely disrupted daily activities and academic work, with students expressing fears about the potential impact on their performance in upcoming examinations. "It's becoming unbearable. Studying is almost impossible when there's no light or water for days," said one student who requested anonymity.
