AFUSTA Appoints Prof. Muhammed Gwani as Acting Vice-Chancellor
The Governing Council of Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology Aliero (AFUSTA) has approved the appointment of Prof. Muhammed Gwani, the institution’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), as Acting Vice-Chancellor.

Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology Aliero (AFUSTA) has appointed Prof. Muhammed Gwani as Acting Vice-Chancellor effective August 31, 2026.
The Governing Council of Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology Aliero (AFUSTA) have appointed Prof.Muhammed Gwanii,the Deputy Vice -Chancellor of the. University as the Acting Vice-Chancellor.
Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the institution,Mustapha Mansur Ango confirmed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.
According to him,”following the voluntary resignation of the former Acting Vice- Chancellor, Prof. Ismaila Arzika Mungadi, the Senate of Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Aliero has met today deliberated and recommended the appointment of Professor Muhammed Gwani the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics).
“The recommendation was ratified and approved by the University Governing Council with effect from Monday 31st August,2026.
The entire university Community rejoice with the appointment and congratulate Prof. Muhammad Gwani for a successful, fruitful and hitch free tenure.
