Ahmadu Bello University's Preventive and Sanitation Unit Cracks Down on Expired Products

The Preventive and Sanitation Unit of Ahmadu Bello University's (ABU) University Health Services has launched a comprehensive exercise to eliminate expired products from the university community. This initiative aims to ensure a disease-free environment for students and staff.

As part of its mandate, the Unit conducts routine inspections of cafeterias, restaurants, and eateries on campus to maintain high food safety and hygiene standards These inspections enable the Unit to monitor operational standards, identify expired goods, and dispose of them promptly.

The recent exercise resulted in the disposal of various expired items, including peanuts, drugs, body lotions, and toiletries. By taking proactive measures, ABU's University Health Services demonstrates its commitment to safeguarding the well-being of its community.
