Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Opens Applications for HND Admission for 2024/2025 Session

The Management of the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into a two year Higher National Diploma Programmes.

1. SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCES                  

Higher National Diploma in                                      

Artificial Intelligence  

(a) The entry requirement into the Higher National Diploma in Artificial Intelligence is at least a lower Credit pass at the National Diploma level in Computer Science obtained from an NBTE –Accredited Institution. Candidate must have satisfied the minimum requirements into the National Diploma Programme in Computer Science, and completed the one year post-ND Industrial work experience.

(b) Candidates with pass level in National Diploma Computer Science obtained from NBTE –accredited Programme and who would produce evidence of at least two years post- ND industrial work experience, may also apply.

2. SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING 

Higher National Diploma in: 

Computer Engineering Technology 

Civil Engineering Technology 

(2a)  The entry requirement into the Higher Diploma in Computer Engineering and Civil Engineering is at least National Diploma at Lower Credit level obtained from the NBTE –accredited Computer Engineering and Civil Engineering Programmes respectively. Candidates must have also satisfied the minimum requirements into the National Diploma Programme in Computer Engineering/ Civil Engineering and completed the one year industrial work experience. 

(2b) Candidates with pass level in National Diploma in Computer Engineering/ Civil Engineering and who have had at least two years post-ND industrial work experience may also apply. 

3. SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES

Higher National Diploma in: 

Survey and Geo-informatics  

(3a) The entry requirements into the Higher National Diploma In Geo-informatics is at least a National Diploma in Geo-informatics/ Photogrammetry & Remote sensing / Cartography & GIS at Lower Credit Level obtained from an NBTE-accredited institution.

Candidates must have satisfied the minimum requirements into the National Diploma programme in Geo-informatics and completed the one year industrial work experience scheme.

(3b) Candidates with pass level in National Diploma and who have had at least two years post –ND industrial work experience scheme may also apply.  

METHOD OF APPLICATION FOR HND PROGRAMMES:

1. Candidates should visit the school website https://www.akwaibompoly.edu.ng. Click online application, then generate an invoice with the following details; Phone number and Name.

2. Candidates should go to any Commercial Bank with their invoice (RRR Number)to purchase am electronic application PIN and make payment of N8,000.00 (eight thousand naira only) and obtain a PIN (inclusive of Bank and other charges)

3. Application should be completed by visiting https://www/akwaibompoly.edu.ng with the obtained pin to complete the application with the following steps:

Highlight ‘’Admissions’’ and select ‘’Application Forms’’ then select your choice of programme and insert the obtained PIN (Confirmation Order) in the appropriate form to complete the application

4. Candidates should upload the following documents to the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Portal: 

i. Attach 1 year industrial attachment letter

ii Official ND Transcript / Statement of result

iii Photocopy of the registration receipt 

N/B: Screening date for prospective applicants is 3rd and 4th December 2024 at the candidates’ proposed department. Applicants are to physically present themselves and original copies of their credentials for screening.

The result of the screening exercise shall be published accordingly.
