ASUU-TSU Officially Suspends Strike Action, Paving Way for Academic Resumption at Taraba State University

In a significant breakthrough for higher education in Taraba State, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Taraba State University Branch, has officially announced the suspension of its recent industrial action. The decision marks the end of a period of academic disruption and signals a renewed era of stability and institutional harmony.

The resolution followed high-level negotiations and a signed Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the union and the university management, aimed at addressing long-standing welfare and administrative concerns.

The union attributed the successful resolution to the timely intervention of the Executive Governor of Taraba State and Visitor to the University, His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas. The Governor’s leadership was described as instrumental in steering the dialogue toward a sustainable conclusion.

Ambassador Adamu Danjuma Edris Waziri, Chairman of the Governing Council, for his steadfast guidance throughout the negotiation process.
