ATBU Issues Standardized Template for NELFUND Fee Refund Requests

The Management of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) has provided a standardized sample letter to assist students in processing their school fee refunds following the disbursement of Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) payments.

The directive, shared via the university’s student communication channels, aims to streamline the refund process for beneficiaries whose sessional fees were covered by the federal loan after they had already made personal payments.

Standardized Refund Protocol

To ensure administrative efficiency and accuracy, students are required to follow a specific format when submitting their requests. The application must be addressed to The Bursar through the Dean, Students Affairs Division, and must include the following critical details:

Facilitating Student Welfare

The provision of this template is part of ATBU’s ongoing effort to support the seamless implementation of the Student Loans (Access to Higher Education) Act. By formalizing the request process, the University Management aims to reduce processing times and ensure that all eligible students receive their reimbursements without technical delays.

Students are advised to carefully replicate the provided sample to avoid any discrepancies that could lead to the rejection of their applications.
