Resumption and Fee Increase Status:

During the conversations with the VC, it was revealed that the university administration is working diligently to secure external funding to avoid any potential tuition fee increases. The university is committed to exploring alternative means to meet its financial needs without placing additional burdens on students.

Regarding the resumption of the new academic session, the Senate is expecting a resumption circular to be issued after the release of students' results. The Senate Business Committee is currently in session, with the Senate meeting scheduled for the following week to address this matter comprehensively.

Academic Staff Annual Leave:

The academic calendar includes provisions for the annual leave of academic staff. The leave typically starts after the release of student results, with indications pointing to a May start. Given the extended break, the Student Union Government (SUG) has engaged with the ASUU executive of ATBU to consider modifying their leave schedule to expedite the resumption of classes.
