Atiku’s Aide Urges Tinubu to Dismiss Minister Accused of Certificate Forgery

Paul Ibe, the media adviser to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to immediately dismiss the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, over allegations of certificate forgery

In a statement posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Ibe referenced reports suggesting that the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) had confirmed the certificate submitted by Nnaji was forged.

“Since the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), has confirmed that Minister Uche Nnaji allegedly forged the institution’s certificate, which he presented officially for his ministerial appointment, one would have expected that President Bola Tinubu (@officialABAT) would have sacked him and released him for prosecution,” Ibe wrote.

He stressed that such serious allegations should not be ignored, arguing that the presidency’s failure to act promptly raises concerns about its commitment to integrity and accountability.

The statement has triggered mixed reactions across social media. While some Nigerians supported Ibe’s call for immediate dismissal and prosecution, others emphasized the importance of conducting a proper investigation before any action is taken.
