The Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has summoned 57 teachers from various government junior secondary and primary schools over allegations of gross misconduct.

The affected educators, drawn from GJSS Miri, Gumli, Haka Yafi, Tsohon Kamfani, and Guru Junior Secondary School, are required to appear before the Board to provide explanations regarding their alleged misconduct.

The directive was issued by the Executive Chairman of SUBEB, Alhaji Adamu Muhammad Duguri, who is committed to tackling the persistent issue of absenteeism among teaching staff in the state. His administration is focused on reforming the educational landscape, especially at the basic level.
