According to eyewitnesses, the thieves, described as professional and organized, have been targeting students' personal belongings, including phones, gas cylinders, and other valuables.

The latest incident occurred at the Idris Garba Hostel, where two gas cylinders and a phone with chargers were stolen while students were distracted by a water scarcity issue.
