Bayero University Kano Students' Union Government Announces NELFUND Refund Process

The Students' Union Government (SUG) of Bayero University Kano has released a press statement informing students that the NELFUND refund process has commenced .

According to the announcement, all students involved in the refund process will receive their funds directly into their accounts.

The SUG has urged students to remain calm and assured that updates will be provided on resolving issues such as omissions in account numbers. This development follows President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's presentation of a N698 million cheque to Bayero University, Kano, for students who applied for the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

The NELFUND initiative aims to empower Nigerian youth by providing fair and transparent funding, removing financial barriers to educational opportunities and academic pursuits. With a total sum of N32 billion available for disbursement, 164,000 students registered for the loan, and 103,000 applied .
