Bayero University Kano (BUK) has submitted the proposed academic calendar for the 2023/2024 undergraduate programmes to the Senate for approval. The calendar outlines key academic activities, beginning with the first semester and extending through the end of the session.
The proposed schedule is as follows:
- First Semester Lectures:Monday, July 15, to Saturday, October 12, 2024 (13 weeks).
- Mid-Semester Break:Monday, August 26, to Saturday, August 31, 2024 (1 week).
- First Semester Examinations: Monday, October 14, to Saturday, November 9, 2024 (4 weeks).
- End Semester Break: Monday, November 11, to Saturday, November 16, 2024 (1 week).
- Second Semester Lectures: Monday, November 18, 2024, to Saturday, February 15, 2025 (13 weeks).
- Mid-Semester Break:Monday, December 30, 2024, to Saturday, January 4, 2025 (1 week).
- Second Semester Examinations:Monday, March 17, to Saturday, April 26, 2025 (4 weeks).
- End of Session: Saturday, April 26, 2025.
- Resumption for the 2024/2025 Session: Monday, April 28, 2025.
