Deputy Chief Whip Hon. Tombara Ted-Elemeforo Awards Educational Scholarships to Students

 Hon. Tombara Ted-Elemeforo, the Deputy Chief Whip of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, continued his commitment to education by awarding scholarships to indigent students from Okordia/Zarama. This marks the third time this year that the Hon. Tombara Ted-Elemeforo Foundation has provided financial support to students pursuing higher education within the state.

Since its establishment in 2020, the foundation has been dedicated to advancing education, skill acquisition, and the growth of small and medium-scale enterprises for youths in Yenagoa Constituency Three and across Bayelsa State. The scholarships awarded this week are part of the foundation’s ongoing efforts to alleviate the financial burdens faced by students from less privileged backgrounds.

Speaking to the media after the scholarship ceremony, Hon. Ted-Elemeforo highlighted that this year's initiative has already benefited over 30 students. He underscored the importance of the scholarship program, particularly in light of current economic challenges. The lawmaker stressed that the goal of the scholarships is to support students in their pursuit of higher education and to help them overcome financial obstacles.
