The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, has lauded the Anatomical Society of Nigeria (ASN) for its unwavering dedication to academic excellence and community service. He made this remark during a courtesy visit from the ASN, University of Ibadan (UI) Chapter, to his office.

During the visit, Professor Adebowale acknowledged the Department of Anatomy's renowned embalming services and assured the association of the university's continued support. He also paid tribute to Emeritus Professor A. B. O. Desalu for his significant contributions to the field of anatomy in Nigeria.

Professor Olatunde O. Owoeye, Head of the Department of Anatomy, informed the Vice-Chancellor that UI will host the 20th Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference of the Anatomical Society of Nigeria. The event is scheduled to take place from October 7 to October 9, 2024, at the University of Ibadan.
