BSU SUG Clarifies NELFUND Refund Process for Students

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi, has clarified the process for students seeking refunds under the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) scheme.

The clarification followed an official engagement between the Students’ Union Secretary-General and the Director of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), during which details concerning the NELFUND refund process were provided.

According to the Director of ICT, the NELFUND refund is strictly applicable to students who have personally paid their First and Second Semester school fees and have successfully submitted a refund application through the institution’s student portal.

All eligible students who have settled their First and Second Semester school fees and wish to receive a refund have therefore been advised to visit the school portal and complete the refund application process without delay.

The Students’ Union stressed that refunds will only be processed for students who meet the stated requirements.

Upon successful verification of an application, the approved refund will be remitted directly to the student’s designated personal bank account.

The Students’ Union encouraged all eligible students to ensure that their refund applications are duly submitted through the school portal and that the bank account details provided are accurate to facilitate seamless processing and payment.

The Union reaffirmed its commitment to providing students with timely, accurate and verified information on matters affecting their welfare.

Students were also urged to remain patient and ensure that all required information has been submitted correctly to facilitate the refund process.
