Researchers who are interested in publishing their papers in the Journal should kindly note the following:

BUK Algaita 2023: Call for Papers from Contributors

The Editorial Board of Algaita Journal of Current Research in Hausa Studies welcomes papers for inclusion in the 2023 (Vol XX1I) edition. Publication in this journal is always on a first-come, first-serve basis. Moreover, all articles are expected to be submitted on or before the 30th of October, 2023. The Journal publishes papers from various researches across the fields of (Hausa) Languages and Linguistics.

Researchers who are interested in publishing their papers in the Journal should kindly note the following:

- Before acceptance, all papers must undergo a similarity index test, otherwise known as the plagiarism test.

- Papers must be formatted in line with the author’s guide and forwarded in a softcopy via an email to: algaitajournal@buk.edu.ng.

- Researchers should include phone number(s) and other contact details for easy communications with the Journal Production Team.

GUIDE FOR AUTHORS

- All papers must be scholarly, original, well researched and well referenced.

- Rabi’at Muhammad Font Style must be strictly used for Hausa writings, all-through.

- Papers should border on Language and Linguistics (literature, culture, sociolinguistics, pragmatics, translations, etc.) and must not have been submitted to any other journal for publication.

- The text format must be in MS-word format with 12 font-sizes and 1.5 Line Spacing.

- The first page of the manuscript should contain the following:

· Title of the article, names and other relevant particulars of the author(s)/affiliation.

· The text of the article should then begin on page 2 with an abstract (between 150 - 200 words) of the article, below the title. To preserve anonymity in review and/or blind assessment, please do not put the name(s) of the author(s) on this page or anywhere else in the text.

· References cited in the text must follow the APA version 6 style and be listed in alphabetical order (surname first) on a separate page, at the end of the article.

· Copies of maps, charts etc., should be submitted in JPEG format or a form that is suitable for reproduction within the normal size of the journal.

· All contributors should endeavour to submit their papers before each issue’s deadline.

· The publication fee is N25,000 or $80 for international contributors, including the initial non-refundable N7,000/$20 for assessment. Payment should be made through: Sterlin Bank = 0015885451: Account Name: Department of Nigerian Languages & Linguistics. A copy of evidence of payment should be sent to the editor in chief via the journal’s email.
