BUK Announces Hostel Vacation and Maintenance Schedule for 2025/2026 Academic Session

The Deanery of Student Affairs at Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has issued an official directive to all hostel residents regarding the conclusion of the current academic session and preparations for the upcoming year.

In a memo signed by the Dean of Student Affairs and released from the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, the university confirmed that a comprehensive general maintenance program will be carried out across all campus hostels during the break period. This initiative is aimed at ensuring that facilities are in optimal condition for the 2025/2026 hostel allocations.

Vacation Deadlines and Guidelines:

• Immediate Departure: All students must vacate their hostel rooms immediately following their last examination.
• Final Grace Period: The absolute deadline for moving out is two weeks after the final examination.
• Personal Property: Residents are required to take all personal belongings with them upon leaving the premises.

Strict Warning on Leftover Items:
The Deanery cautioned that any personal items left in hostel rooms beyond the two-week deadline will be deemed unwanted and disposed of by the university.

The administration thanked students for their cooperation and urged strict compliance with these directives to avoid the loss of property.
