BUK Library and Information Science LOC Pays Courtesy Visit to Azman University Ahead of 1st National Conference

The Local Organizing Committee, LOC, of the 1st National Conference of the Department of Library and Information Science, Bayero University Kano, BUK, has paid a courtesy visit to Azman University, Kano.

The delegation, led by the LOC Chair, Associate Prof. Binta Faruq Ladan, was warmly received by the Vice Chancellor of Azman University, Prof. Fatima Batul Mukhtar, alongside the University Librarian and other Principal Officers of the University.

Members of the delegation included Dr. Hayatudeen Adamu, Head of Department, Library and Information Science, BUK; Hajiya Mabaruka Abubakar, College Librarian, Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education; Dr. Auwal Giginyu, Department of Library and Information Science, BUK; and Dr. Aminudeen Abubakar, Department of Library and Information Science, BUK.

The visit provided an opportunity for both institutions to engage, strengthen professional relationships, and explore areas of mutual collaboration in library and information science, research, education, and academic development.

The courtesy call is part of preparations and stakeholder engagements ahead of the department’s maiden national conference.
