CIPM Kogi State Branch Initiates Strategic Alliance with FULOKOJA Registrar

On Monday, July 8th, 2024, the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), Kogi State Branch, led by its Chairman, Dr. Aminu Isa, ACIPM, paid a courtesy visit to the Registrar of the Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA), Dr. Rebecca Aimiohu Okojie, ACIPM. The visit aimed at fostering a strategic alliance between CIPM and FULOKOJA as part of the Institute's ongoing efforts to collaborate with higher education institutions.

During the visit, Dr. Isa commended Dr. Okojie for her consistent support and positive engagement with CIPM. He expressed gratitude for the Registrar's permission to use the University Auditorium, Adankolo for hosting the Branch Workshop in 2023. Dr. Isa emphasized the importance of the partnership and the mutual benefits it brings to both the CIPM and FUL communities.

The primary objective of the visit was to brief Dr. Okojie on upcoming CIPM events and to encourage active participation from the University community. Dr. Isa highlighted several key events, including the Special Human Resource Forum (SHRF) held virtually on July 11th, the 2024 Branch Workshop, the Branch Public Lecture, and the International Conference & Exhibition (ICE) scheduled for July 13th, August 1st, September 4th, and October respectively.

Dr. Isa was accompanied by the Branch Secretary, Treasurer, and an Ex-officio member. Together, they urged the University to consider establishing a Department of Human Resource and Industrial Relations under the Faculty of Management Sciences. This initiative aims to create a robust training ground for future HR professionals and strengthen the academic and professional ties between CIPM and FUL.
