COOU Lecturer Emerges as One of the 2024 World's Top 2% Scientists

Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) is proud to announce the recognition of Dr. Johnbosco Egbueri, a lecturer in the Department of Geology and Associate Director of the Research Management Office (RMO), as one of the 2024 World's Top 2% Scientists, according to Stanford University, USA.
This ranking, based on Scopus data from Elsevier, evaluates research impact, citations, and productivity. Dr. Egbueri's recognition for the fourth consecutive year (2021-2024) is a testament to his dedication to research excellence and contributions to academic innovation. His achievement aligns with COOU's 3Vs mandate: Values, Visibility, and Viability, highlighting the university's commitment to research distinction.
Globally, Dr. Egbueri ranks 11,265th among over 2 million evaluated scholars and 85th out of 115,291 in his field of Environmental Sciences. He also ranks 6th among 233 Nigerian scholars.
Dr. Egbueri expressed his appreciation for the leadership of COOU's Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, who has supported the growth of research culture within the university. His continued excellence brings COOU increased global recognition for academic and research achievements.
