On Wednesday, 4th February 2026, the Vice-Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Professor Kate Azuka Omenugha, officially commissioned the University Souvenir Shop, strategically located opposite the Postgraduate Block.

On Wednesday, 4th February 2026, the Vice-Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Professor Kate Azuka Omenugha, officially commissioned the University Souvenir Shop, strategically located opposite the Postgraduate Block.

The new facility positions COOU among universities with modern, well-equipped branding centres, offering not just commercial services but also a platform for institutional identity and visibility.

Speaking at the commissioning, Professor Omenugha described the shop as a creative hub and a branding tool through which the University can showcase its vision as a “Now University and a University of the Future.” She also announced plans to designate Wednesdays as a day of collective institutional representation, encouraging staff and students to proudly display COOU colours, symbols, and branded items.

The Souvenir Shop offers a range of COOU-branded merchandise, including uniforms, shirts, ties, caps, and other identity materials that reflect the University’s heritage and values. The University community is encouraged to visit and patronize the shop to foster institutional pride and strengthen the University’s visibility.
