Council of Legal Education Conducts Facility and Staff Verification at CUSTECH

The Council of Legal Education (CLE) today, November 19th ,2025, conducted a comprehensive facility and staff verification exercise at the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, as part of the accreditation process for the take- off of Faculty of Law.

 

The distinguished team of legal luminaries was led by the Director-General of the Council of Legal Education, Prof. Isa Hayyatu Ciroma (SAN), who meticulously inspected all facilities and staff at the  Faculty of Law to ensure compliance with the Council's established standards.

 

During the inspection, Prof. Ciroma emphasized the Council's commitment to maintaining excellence in legal education across Nigeria. He made several observations and provided valuable guidance to the university management on the requisite steps for the proper take-off of the Law programme.

The Director-General commended the Kogi State Government and CUSTECH management for their dedication and seriousness towards establishing a Faculty of Law that meets national standards.

The Vice-Chancellor of CUSTECH, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, expressed profound gratitude to the visiting team for their objective assessment and professional guidance. He pledged the university's full collaboration with the Council of Legal Education to ensure that all accreditation requirements are met.

 

"We are committed to acting swiftly on all recommendations from the Council to ensure the smooth take-off of the Faculty of Law at CUSTECH," Prof. Salawu assured.

The Director of Academic Planning, CUSTECH, Pharm. Muhammed Asuku Audu, who guided the delegation round the Law Faculty, also appreciated the CLE's visit, noting that the exercise was designed to verify the facilities and human resources available for the proposed commencement of the Faculty of Law in the 2025/2026 academic session.

 

The  Kogi State Attorney General and  Commissioner for Justice , Hon.Muizudeen Yunus Abduallah (SAN), was present  during this exercise .
