CUSTECH Registrar, Mrs. Glory Yakubu, Receives Distinguished Service Award

The Registrar of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Mrs Glory Ojochogu Yakubu, has been honoured with a Distinguished Service Award by the outgoing Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Professor Usman Ogbo.

The award was presented at a ceremony held in Lokoja, where Mrs Yakubu was recognised alongside 63 other deserving staff members of the Polytechnic for their outstanding service and contributions to the institution.

Speaking after receiving the award, Mrs Yakubu expressed deep appreciation to Professor Ogbo for his mentorship, guidance and exemplary leadership, which she said played a significant role in shaping her professional growth and career development.

According to her, the leadership qualities exhibited by Professor Ogbo are a reflection of the values that have earned him his recent appointment as the Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar University, Anyigba. She prayed for divine wisdom, good health and continued success for him in his new role.

Mrs Yakubu also conveyed her gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor of CUSTECH Osara, Engr. Professor Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, FNSE, for honouring her by attending the award ceremony in Lokoja. She thanked him for his leadership style and unwavering support since her appointment as Registrar, describing his encouragement as instrumental to her smooth transition into the role.
