Department of English and Literary Studies Honours Outgoing FULafia Vice-Chancellor

The Department of English and Literary Studies, Faculty of Arts, Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), has honoured the outgoing Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, for his visionary leadership and inclusive governance.

The honour was given during a ceremony at the Old Senate Chamber, Permanent Site Campus. 

Leading the delegation from the department was the Director of the Centre for Cultural Studies, Prof. Ibrahim Awwal, who praised the vice-chancellor’s people-centred and intellectually driven administration

He, especially, praised Abdul Rahman for making trust, fairness and inclusivity the hallmark of his administration.

He said that Abdul Rahman’s tenure created an enabling environment that recognised staff's contributions while entrusting departmental members with key responsibilities that advanced the University’s development.

A souvenir was presented to the vice-chancellor, alongside similar tokens to staff of his office for their professionalism and dedication.

Responding, Abdul Rahman expressed his gratitude to the department, urging continued support for the incoming Vice-Chancellor of FULafia, Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida.
