Dr. Victor Okolobah and FPOG Bonny Honoured with Prestigious International Maritime Awards
In a significant recognition of academic and administrative excellence, the Rector of the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas (FPOG), Bonny, Dr. Victor Okolobah, and the institution itself have bagged two major awards from the Chartered Institute of Maritime, Port and Terminal Management Professionals (CIMPTMP), USA.
The honours were conferred during the Corporate and Individual Professional Excellence Awards 2026, held on March 28, 2026, at the BW Starfire Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

The awards were received on behalf of the Rector by Dr. Kenneth A. Ibiama, the CIMPTMP USA National Resource Director and a member of the Polytechnic's Department of Transport and Logistics.
The Institute noted that FPOG Bonny has distinguished itself as a rising leader in the maritime sector, effectively preparing students for the complexities of transport and logistics through high-quality training and ethical standards.
The Polytechnic's Public Relations Officer, Anthony Ogbe (MCAI), noted that these awards reflect an institution "flying with colours bright enough to attract the world." The achievement reinforces FPOG’s mission to become a global hub for oil, gas, and maritime expertise.
