Edo State University, Iyamho, has warned students, staff, and the public that a circulating memo titled “SECURITY ALERT – MOVEMENT RESTRICTIONS” is false, unauthorized, and did not originate from the Office of the Acting Registrar or any official University staff.

The University confirmed that there is no security breach and no presence of suspected bandits on campus. The circulated information is misleading, malicious, and should be completely disregarded.

Edo State University further stated that legal action will be taken against any individual or group attempting to spread misinformation, cause panic, or tarnish the institution’s reputation. All official communications will continue to be issued strictly through authorized channels.
