Elizade University's New Vice-Chancellor Advocates Collaborative Approach for Educational Development

Professor Kayode Ijadunola, the recently appointed Vice-Chancellor of Elizade University, has emphasized the importance of a strong collaboration between the university and state governments to foster educational development and contribute to nation-building. During a courtesy visit to the state governor, Hon. Lucky Ayedatiwa, Professor Ijadunola highlighted the significant investments made by the Founder of Elizade University, Chief Michael Ade. Ojo, in building Ondo State and Ilara-Mokin, the host community.

Despite being a private institution, Elizade University has employed over 500 indigenes of the state, as well as individuals from around the world, contributing substantially to the socio-economic growth of Ondo State. Professor Ijadunola stressed the institution's commitment to the state's prosperity in a regenerative manner that will impact posterity and the entire human race.

During the visit, the Vice-Chancellor requested the state government's assistance in providing solar power to the University, benefiting both students and the institution. Governor Ayedatiwa commended Professor Ijadunola for his thoughtfulness and empathy, describing him as agile and responsive. The governor acknowledged the significant loss caused by the passing of the former Governor Akeredolu and assured that the late governor would receive a well-deserved state burial. Governor Ayedatiwa expressed pride in Elizade University's achievements and promised to consider the Vice-Chancellor's request for solar-powered lighting on the campus.

Additionally, Professor Ijadunola visited the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, and the Alara of Ilara-Mokin, Oba Abiodun Aderemi Adefehinti, seeking support and cooperation for Elizade University's mission.

The Deji of Akure pledged the kingdom's cooperation and encouraged the Vice-Chancellor to break new grounds. At the Alara's Palace, Professor Ijadunola requested continued royal assistance for a harmonious relationship between the community and Elizade University, emphasizing the need for genuine manifestation of the Town-and-Gown experience for real and unimaginable development.

Oba Aderemi Adefehinti assured the Vice-Chancellor of the community's support, stating that Elizade University is the pride of Ilara-Mokin, and the community will spare no effort to preserve and protect the university and its interests.

On the entourage of the Vice-Chancellor were principal officers, deans, and key academic officers of Elizade University.
