JAMB Approves 747 CBT Centres for 2024 UTME Registration and Examination

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has granted approval to 747 Computer Based Test (CBT) Centres for the upcoming 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The announcement was made by the Board’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, in a bulletin issued in Abuja.

Initially shortlisting 907 CBT centres for accreditation, JAMB concluded revalidation and integrity tests, ultimately certifying 747 centres for the 2024 UTME exercise. The registration process for the UTME, set to commence on Monday, has witnessed a significant turnout of candidates at various CBT centres.

A News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reporter, monitoring registration in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and its environs, noted the diverse experiences of candidates. At the Future Gate CBT centre in One-Man village, a candidate expressed concern about registration challenges and being directed to another centre without clear reasons.

Meanwhile, at the Global Learning Institute opposite the Federal Ministry of Finance, a candidate described the registration process as seamless and efficient, completing it within a few minutes.

Candidates are reminded to possess essential documents for the 2024 UTME registration, including the National Identification Number (NIN), personal information, O’level results, choice of institution and course, biometric verification, and the JAMB registration fee.
