Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Acquires State-of-the-Art CNC Machine for Mechanical Engineering Department

The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi has procured a modern Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine worth millions of naira for its Mechanical Engineering Technology Department. The acquisition is aimed at enhancing learning and keeping pace with technological advancements.

 

The CNC machine, which is a first for the department, boasts advanced capabilities, including multifunctional operations and automated metalwork processes. According to Engr. Abubakar Muhammed Aliyu, Head of Department, Mechanical Engineering Technology, the machine aligns with modern industrial standards and will significantly improve students' practical knowledge.

The acquisition of the CNC machine was a long-term goal for the department, and its arrival is expected to facilitate accreditation for the department's degree programs. The machine will also be utilized by the Institute of Skills Development for training students and external candidates.

The polytechnic's management and staff are optimistic that the CNC machine will not only enhance students' learning experience but also generate revenue for the institution.
