Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas Library Staff Celebrate Outgoing Librarian, Mr. Elejene Albert Obiora

The Library Department of the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny, held a farewell celebration in honour of the outgoing Polytechnic Librarian, Mr. Elejene Albert Obiora, marking his final day in office after years of dedicated service.

The Library Department of the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny, held a farewell celebration in honour of the outgoing Polytechnic Librarian, Mr. Elejene Albert Obiora, marking his final day in office after years of dedicated service.

The event, held at the Polytechnic Library, was organized by the staff of the department under the leadership of the incoming Acting Polytechnic Librarian, Mrs. Hannatu Hosea. It was attended by key members of the Polytechnic community including the Rector, Dr. Victor Okolobah; the Registrar, Mr. Pepple Adonye Emmanuel; the outgone Acting Registrar, Barr. Mrs. Altina Boma-George; the Bursar, Mr. Blessing Fadinepo; Deans and Directors, Heads of Departments, and other staff.

In her address, Mrs. Hannatu Hosea praised Mr. Obiora’s tenure as Librarian, highlighting his achievements over the past five years and commending his exemplary leadership, empathy, and dedication to team building. She noted that his contributions had significantly shaped the development of the Polytechnic’s library services and left a lasting legacy.

Other speakers at the event echoed similar sentiments, describing Mr. Obiora as a compassionate leader who was deeply committed to institutional growth and staff welfare.

The highlight of the ceremony included the cutting of a farewell cake, a toast to the successful completion of his tenure, and the presentation of gifts in appreciation of his service.
