Federal University Lokoja DSCCD Bids Farewell to Outgoing Corps Members, Commends Dedication to Service

The Directorate of Strategic Communication and Corporate Documentation (DSCCD) at Federal University Lokoja (FUL) recently held a formal send-forth ceremony to honour two National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, Akachi Oseji and Oloyede Adebayo, following the successful completion of their service year.

The event served as a platform for the university management to recognize the significant contributions made by the duo to the institution's communication and documentation departments.

The Director of the DSCCD, Dr. Tosin Olagunju, expressed deep appreciation for the professionalism and diligence exhibited by the corps members. He noted that their efforts provided measurable value to the Directorate’s operations and urged them to carry the values of integrity and excellence into their future careers.

"The experiences gained during your service year should serve as a strong foundation for your future success," Dr. Olagunju remarked during his charge to the outgoing staff.

The Deputy Director, Mr. Daniel Nwankwo, highlighted the unique timing of their service, noting that they contributed during a transformative period as the former Information and Protocol Unit evolved into the current Directorate of Strategic Communication and Corporate Documentation. He commended their adaptability and encouraged them to remain "worthy ambassadors" of FUL.

Further goodwill messages were shared by the Senior Protocol Officer, Mr. Nsikak John, who praised the corps members for their character and commitment to the university's corporate image.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of tokens of appreciation, marking the end of a productive tenure for the young professionals at the Federal University Lokoja.
