Federal University Lokoja Marks Historic Milestone with Inauguration of New Senate Building

The Federal University Lokoja (FUL) has achieved a significant milestone with the completion and occupation of its newly built Senate Building.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, alongside other principal officers and management members, officially moved into the iconic structure, marking the first working day since its construction began over a year ago .
Coinciding with this achievement, the Principal Officers Committee (POC) held its 100th meeting within the new Senate Building, underscoring the administration's dedication to transforming the university's infrastructure since Professor Akinwumi's tenure began in February 2021.
The Senate Building, initiated and completed through TETFund's intervention, demonstrates the administration's commitment to providing a conducive learning environment. Although external work is ongoing, key offices have relocated from the former administrative building, signaling a new era for the university.
Professor Akinwumi expressed gratitude to TETFund, the management team, staff, and students for their support in achieving this milestone. The short opening ceremony included prayers by religious leaders present.
This development aligns with FUL's vision to become a leading institution in Nigeria, providing top-notch education and facilities. As the university continues to grow, it invites the public to stay updated on its progress through its official media channels.
