Federal University Lokoja Unveils New Vehicles for Staff Transportation

The Federal University Lokoja (FUL) has commissioned three new vehicles to enhance staff transportation and ease mobility within the university community.

The vehicles, which include a Coaster bus, a Hilux van, and a Sienna, were unveiled by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, on Tuesday at the main campus.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed his delight at the arrival of the new vehicles, which he attributed to his networking and collaboration with external partners. He assured that more vehicles are expected to be added to the fleet, reiterating his commitment to staff welfare and development.

As part of the university's efforts to ease transportation challenges, the Principal Officers Committee (POC) has allocated the brand new Coaster bus to convey staff from the College of Health Sciences, Adankolo to the main campus at Felele daily.

Staff members who attended the commissioning ceremony expressed their gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor for his leadership and generosity, which they described as a testament to his passion for staff welfare and university development.

The Registrar, Dr. Rebecca Aimiohu Okojie, commended the Vice-Chancellor for his forward-looking leadership style and selflessness in attracting meaningful development to the institution. The Branch Chairman of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Comrade Adedeji Kazeem Suarau, also praised the Vice-Chancellor for his commitment to staff welfare and university growth.
