Federal University of Education, Zaria Strengthens Ties with Host Community

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Zaria, Professor Yahaya Isa Bunkure, has reaffirmed the institution's commitment to enhancing security on campus and in surrounding communities.

This assurance was made during a meeting with leaders of the Gyallesu Community Association, who visited him in his office.

The delegation, led by Alhaji Kabir Muhammad Ajuji, Chairman of the Association, included the Sarkin Gyallesu, Malam Abdullahi Yusuf, and other community elders. They discussed the importance of collaboration between the university and the community, particularly in ensuring the safety of students and providing guidance on secure accommodation practices.

The Vice-Chancellor emphasized the need for unity and collective responsibility in maintaining security, urging the community to keep proper records of landlords and tenants and to enforce strict guarantor requirements. He also assured the community of the university's commitment to investing in student welfare and security, and pledged to continue working closely with Gyallesu to safeguard students and university facilities.
