Federal University of Lafia Postpones Physical Resumption Amid Hostel Renovations

The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has announced a revised resumption schedule following delays in the ongoing renovation of student hostels.

In a statement released by the University's Registrar, Dr Nuradeen Abdu, students were advised to continue attending online lectures from their respective homes until January 30, 2026. 

The adjustment, according to the statement, was made to allow sufficient time for the completion of the renovation works.

The statement further disclosed that the University’s hostel portal would open on January 12, 2026, while hostel and room allocation would commence on January 19, 2026. 

Physical resumption on campus is now scheduled for January 30, 2026.

The University's Management expressed its regret over any inconvenience the change may cause and appealed to students for their patience, understanding and cooperation during the period.

This directive supersedes the earlier one referenced FUL/REG/IC/044/VOL.II/279.

The statement said that the Management assured students of its commitment to providing improved and comfortable accommodation facilities upon the completion of the renovation works.
