Federal University of Lafia VC Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman Receives Plaque for Exemplary Leadership

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, has been honored with a plaque by the Wakwa Ward Community Development Association (WWCDA) for his exemplary leadership style.

The delegation from WWCDA visited Professor Abdul Rahman at the Old Senate Chamber of FULafia on February 28, 2025, to present the plaque in recognition of his outstanding leadership qualities.

This recognition is not the first for Professor Abdul Rahman, who has been commended by various stakeholders for his leadership and developmental strides at FULafia ¹. His commitment to academic excellence and community development has earned him accolades from within and outside the university.

Under his leadership, FULafia has recorded significant milestones, including the conversion of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital to FULafia Teaching Hospital . The university has also produced 50 first-class graduates among a total of 6,499 awardees from various disciplines .
