FMC Nguru Mourns the Passing of Final-Year Nursing Student, Maryam Ahmad Rufai

The Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Nguru, Professor Hadiza Abdullahi Usman, has expressed profound grief over the untimely passing of Maryam Ahmad Rufai, a promising final-year student at the College of Nursing Sciences, Nguru. 

In a poignant display of solidarity, the Medical Director, accompanied by members of the Top Management Committee (TMC), attended the funeral rites at the deceased’s family residence to offer their final respects and support to the bereaved. 

Professor Usman described Maryam’s death as a devastating and irreparable loss, noting that she was a dedicated student who embodied the core values of the nursing profession: commitment, compassion, and a selfless desire to serve humanity.

"Maryam was a bright light in our College," the Medical Director stated. "Her passing has left a significant void that will be deeply felt by her colleagues, lecturers, and the entire hospital community."

On behalf of the Management and staff of FMC Nguru, Professor Usman extended heartfelt condolences to Maryam’s family, friends, and the student body. Tributes from the College highlighted her academic diligence and the bright future she held within the healthcare sector.

The Medical Director offered prayers for the repose of her soul, asking Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings, grant her eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus, and provide her loved ones with the fortitude to navigate this tragic period.
