NOUN Appoints New Directors as Leadership Changes Take Effect at Three Study Centres
The National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN, has recorded another round of leadership transitions following the appointment of new directors for some study centres in the North-Central region.
The affected centres are the NURTW Special Study Centre, Garki, Abuja; the Special Study Centre for the Nigerian Police, Dei-Dei, Abuja; and the Offa Community Study Centre, Kwara State.
The changes followed a directive by the University Management contained in a memo signed by the Registrar and dated August 4, 2026, announcing the appointment of new Centre Directors for various study centres nationwide.

The memo directed the new appointees to assume responsibility for the day-to-day administration of their respective centres and to ensure the effective delivery of academic and administrative services in line with the University’s policies and standards.
University Management said the redeployment and appointments are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen administrative structures, enhance service delivery, and ensure optimal performance across all NOUN study centres.
The affected centres are expected to continue normal operations under the leadership of the newly appointed directors.
