Aderoju, a 2020 graduate from the Department of Crop, Soil and Pest Management, has bagged scholarships amounting to over $63,000 USD.
Reflecting on his journey, Aderoju expressed gratitude for the opportunities afforded to him during his time at FUTA. He recalled how, despite initial doubts about his department, he remained focused on his goals and embraced the challenges presented to him. A pivotal moment came during his third year when a lecture by Dr. Ajayi sparked his interest in Plant Pathology, ultimately shaping his academic trajectory.

Aderoju's entrepreneurial spirit flourished during his undergraduate years, as he successfully ventured into shoe-making and generated revenue to support himself financially. At the end of his undergraduate studies, Aderoju pursued a master's degree abroad without financial assistance from his family. His journey to securing scholarships was met with challenges, including numerous rejections and unanswered emails.
